موندێل سیاسەتمەدار و دیپلۆماتکار و پارێزەرە و جێگری سەرۆک کۆمار جیمی کارتەر بوو، کە پێشتر سیناتۆری ویلایەتی مینێسۆتا بووە، وەک جێگری 42یەمین سەرۆکی ئەمریکا خزمەتی کردووە.
موندێل لە هەڵبژاردنی سەرۆکایەتی ئەمریکا لە ساڵی 1984 دا کاندیدی سەرۆکایەتی دیموکراتەکان بوو، بەڵام ڕۆناڵد ڕیگان سەرکەوتنی بەدەستهێنا.
ئەو جێگری سەرۆکەی ئەمڕۆ کۆچی دواییکرد لە ساڵی 1977 بۆ ساڵی 1981 جێگری سەرۆکی وڵاتەکەی بووە پێشتریش چەندین پۆستی سیاسی هەبووە.
